DNA/LEGO Teacher Workshop

The grant has sponsored 2 DNA/LEGO Teacher Workshops - These workshops are run by Kathleen M. Vandiver, Ph.D. Director, Community Outreach and Education Center for Environmental Health Sciences, Massachusetts Institute of Technology - Dr. Vandiver has developed an interactive and hands-on method to teach the basic principles of genetics and molecular biology. She designed LEGO® models of molecules to help students understand the molecular processes through tactile experiences.
